Privacy.
Plain English: what we keep, why we keep it, and how to have it removed. Last updated 23 October 2026.
Browsing
You can read every listing without an account. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies. If you save an event with the heart button, that list is kept in your own browser and never sent to us.
Signing in
When you sign in with Google, Google tells us your name, email address and profile picture. We use them only to run your account and to show which listings are yours. We never post anything to your Google or Facebook accounts.
Listing an event
Everything you put in a listing is published for anyone to see, except the contact email. That email is kept separately. It is only handed to a signed-in visitor’s own mail app when they press “Contact organiser” on that event, and each account can do that at most 30 times a day. Photos you upload are published with the listing.
Sharing to Facebook
The share button opens Facebook’s own share window. Facebook reads the event’s public title, date, venue and photo to build the post. What happens after that is covered by Facebook’s privacy policy.
Who looks after it
Citylife’s data is stored with Supabase in London and the site is served by Vercel. Neither uses it for anything except running Citylife.
Taking things down
You can delete any of your listings, and its photo, from Your events. To remove your account and everything attached to it, email whanekom@gmail.com and we’ll do it within 30 days.
